Apgujeong and Cheongdam

Rodeo street, small galleries and K-pop agency blocks

Apgujeong and Cheongdam are the high-end shopping and gallery blocks of Gangnam. The area is built around Apgujeong Rodeo Station, Dosan Park and the Galleria department store, and it is more about walking between shops than ticketed sights. K-Star Road is a themed 1 km stretch of it.

Start at Apgujeong Rodeo Station. The Galleria's West Hall on Apgujeong-ro is open 10:30 to 20:00 Monday to Thursday and until 20:30 Friday to Sunday. Gentle Monster Haus Dosan and the Nudake dessert shop in the same building are open 11:00 to 21:00, and Nudake is closed the first Monday of each month.

Dosan Park is small and open at all hours, with a memorial to Ahn Chang-ho. Perrotin's gallery beside it is open Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 18:00, and it is closed Sundays. K-Star Road runs from Rodeo toward the Cheongdam intersection and is divided into four zones. The agency buildings along it are offices with no visitor hours listed.

For meals, Hanilkwan first opened in 1939 (it moved to Apgujeong in 2008) and is open 11:30 to 21:30. New Mandujip was started by a cook from Pyongyang, is closed Sundays and has an afternoon break from 15:30 to 16:30. London Bagel Museum Dosan opens at 08:00 and has queues.

Getting there

Apgujeong Rodeo Station (Suin-Bundang Line) puts you in the middle of the shops. Apgujeong (Line 3) is the stop for Hanilkwan, and Sinsa (Line 3) leads to Dosan Park on foot.
